Connecting laptop to pc is one way to upload or download your files from your laptop to your pc.
Step 1: Connect your laptop and pc by using lan or wifi connection.
Step 2: Choose a name for your Workgroup. You can find this by right clicking on to my computer icon then choose properties. Then go to computer name tab and select the change button. Both laptop and pc should have the same workgroup name. If you want more computers to be connected, all computers and laptops should have the same workgroup name.
Step 3: Choose a name for each computer or laptop.
Step 4: Restart your computer to save the settings you made.
Step 5: Check all the laptop and computers that you just connected. You will be able to see all other computers that are connected to your Worgroup. Go to My Network Places then click on VIEW WORKGROUP COMPUTERS, you should be able to see other computers here. Now, you might not be able to see all the files that you want to download or upload, you have to share the items or files in order to view and download/upload the files to other computer or laptops.
Step 6: To share a file or folder, right click on file or folder then choose share., then follow the instructions there.
