You can get a basic LCD monitor on your favorite computer store that comes everything you need to hook up to a video input like: S-Video, VGA, RCA. The components of the LCD that you are going to focus on are the screen of the LCD, the backlight inverter and the controller.

On the controller, it has output and also input. For the output, of course you connect it to LCD screen itself. Then for the input, this is where you connect S-Video, VGA or an RCA. For the backlight inverter, it can accept a low voltage power of 12 volts then goes up for a hundred to a thousand volts so that the LCD screen with light up because of the backlight. HP Pavilion dv4t

This pretty and useful notebook provides nice performance for a nice price. Very good design meets solid multimedia chops in the HP Pavilion dv4t. Have a very nice responsive touchscreen controls. MediaSmart software, and quality Altec Lansing speakers, this $599  notebook is a very nice deal good choice.
With this slick HP Imprint 2 design is very eye catching. The model Espresso Black that is available in Moonlight White also. It measures 13.2 x 9.5 x 1.6 inches, the dv4t is thicker than the usual 14-inch notebooks. Keyboard is sturdy, with only a hint  of flex.  On the keyboard are sensitive touch multimedia keys that are quick.
For 3.0 x 1.4 inches, the dv4t’s touchpad is wide and nicely smooth, if a bit fast. A pair of mouse buttons provide adequate feedback.
There Will be Blood DVD looked great on the 1280 x 800-pixel resolution display head-on, but the other viewing angles smeems to be tight. The Twin Altec Lancing speakers provides very loud, the room is filled with sound when watching movies and listening to music.
The 2.0-GHz dual-core Intel Pentium t4200 CPU and 3GB of RAM that can put more up to 4GB contributes to the decent benchmark performance. Testing the CPU’s multitasking mettle, we transcoded a 5 minute and 5 second, 640 x 480 pixel resolution video file from MPEG-4 to AVI using Handbreak. This task is about 8 mins and 22 secs, and 17:11 while compressing a 4.97GB mixed media folder in the background using jzip. Both of the times were longer than the Gateway UC7807u’s marks of 7:53 and 15:11, and the 13 inch Core 2 Duo system is the same price $599 only.
The dv4t, Didn’t experience  any sluggishness or choppiness using Google Earth.
For the 320gb, 5,400 rpm hdd booted Windows Vista Home Premium in 59 secs. For the LAPTOP Transfer Test, the speed is 17.1mbps was just even with the category average.
For the LAPTOP Battery Test, the dv4t can last for 3 hrs and 8 mins, this is just one hour shorter than the average thin and light systems.
So the performance of $599 configuration of the HP Pavilion dv4t will amazed you. But the a user who wants just a basic machine with a nice sound, good performance and a very stylish looking, will like this system much very much.
